It was published in a local newspaper on March 20, 2024 that ASED HABIGONJ, a variety developed by the BRRI Rice Research Institute that has the potential to reduce flood risk with a short planting period, has already begun to bloom.
This project is being carried out with support from JICA – Japan International Cooperation Agency.
