CLIMATE TRIBUNE (June, 2026)

The Dhaka Tribune featured our climate-smart agriculture project in the June 2026 issue of Climate Tribune under the title, “Harvesting Resilience and Hope Through Climate-Smart Rice Farming in the Haor Region” (pp. 20–23). The article introduces the climate-smart rice farming project implemented by ASED HABIGONJ with support from JICA and Share the Planet Association.

Beyond introducing climate-resilient rice varieties, the project demonstrates how a sustainable seed system can strengthen farmers’ resilience to climate change in one of Bangladesh’s most flood-prone regions.

While the Climate Tribune article highlights the experiences of individual farmers, the project’s broader achievement is the development of a sustainable seed system that enables climate-smart rice varieties to reach farming communities across the Haor region.
